Julien & John have been steadily performing at weddings (ceremonies & champagne receptions) since the summer of 2015 and it is something we genuinely love to do. We pride ourselves on our refined sound, professionalism and our crisp and compact set up. We are expert performers and arrangers and it is always our pleasure to work with the couples to select and arrange ceremony requests for their special day. We also set ourselves apart by being an instrumental act whose repertoire consists of slickly arranged pop tunes delivered with a jazz/ classical and modern edge. When you hire us for your wedding you are ensuring the services of a unique yet highly accessible musical act. Our champagne reception set is blended with Brazilian classics, jazz standards and a recently arranged 'crooners & swing' set guaranteed to keep the guests chilled like the champagne and with a spring in their step until the ring of the dinner bell.

"John & Julien are an amazing guitar duo, we were lucky enough to have them play our wedding ceremony and our reception in Kilshane House. Our close friend gave us a recommendation for them so we went along to one of their gigs upstairs in Bewleys Cafe. We were blown away by them, great setting, great banter, and above all great music. They have some incredible tracks of their own and also put an acoustic spin on some classic hits. Aside from being two genuine lads that love to play music they were also a pleasure to work with, hassle free, have a great sense of humor and were willing to tailor our ceremony to our own musical tastes. We can't recommend them highly enough. Check them out on spotify or if you get a chance definitely go along to one of their live gigs."
(1) Do you guys travel? Yes. We are based in Dublin, longer journeys will be reflected in our added fuel charge. (2) Do you perform outside? Yes we love playing outside and find it really adds to a ceremony or enhances the vibe of a drinks reception. It being Ireland though it is weather dependent and the venue ultimately has to call the shots, sometimes as late as the the morning of the wedding. We will try our best and we are prepared technically with 50ft extension leads etc to access power points. (3) What time do you arrive at the venue? We arrive to all gigs an hour before or 45 mins latest only if we've been minced in traffic. It's our job to contact venue/wedding co ordinator beforehand to ensure our two set ups and performance requirements will run smoothly on arrival. (4) Do you arrange requests? We have an extensive repertoire for ceremony & drinks receptions but it's all about you so if you've a favourite movie/tv theme, 80s or classic love song or an old jazz standard your Grandmother loved we will happily arrange it for ceremony. Please note though that we are two instrumental guitarists so there are limits time wise and technically to what we may be asked to perform. It usually works out at two requests and one or two from our current repertoire. We are artists so we bring a sense of craft and finesse to any of our arrangements which makes performing at your wedding a highly personalized and special affair to remember. (5) Can we hear you showcase? We showcase at a select amount of venues throughout the year. We are a busy duo so it's best to contact directly when relating to an enquiry at the time. In Dublin we perform weekends at restaurants regularly or we might have a concert coming up at Bewleys Theatre, the Parlour Bar at the Stags Head, at Arthurs Blues & Jazz club or at the new Lost Lane venue. Couples book us mainly after seeing and hearing us live in action and get a much stronger sense of our energy and sound. (6) Can we hear you online? Our website is updated regularly with clips especially related to weddings. We also use Instagram in a more relaxed fashion for clips of gigs and home rehearsals. We do have two critically acclaimed albums available to stream on Spotify that showcase our artistic merits and also feature some original material. (7) Do you have package rates? Yes we offer packages for ceremony & drinks. We are competitively priced for a duo based on our market research and we will try our best to work within your Budget. Prices relate to travel and prep time for requests for ceremony and possibly the size of the wedding. We work best in more intimate settings (40 to 120 people) and it is best for all parties concerned to avoid a mismatch. That being said we can play at larger weddings and can add a double bassist or vocalist for some added punch to our output. We are professionally sound and very approachable guys, we find it is always best to talk in person or over the phone when dealing with the numbers, cash etc so why not just call us in regards availability and rates. (8) How do we confirm the date ? The gig is sealed in stone in the diary once a security deposit of 150€ hits our account by bank transfer. This is non refundable.
